The Monumento ai Caduti (Monument to the Fallen) of the Great War is the bronze infantryman throwing a hand grenade, a work by sculptor Bruno Galeotti, inaugurated on September 30, 1930, on Via della Chiesa.

In the green area to the south is the memorial stone dedicated to the partisan Lido Duranti (1919–1944), an Orentano native who fell at the Fosse Ardeatine.

A local anecdote: in March 1959, the square of the Monument was excavated in search of the legendary treasure of the nineteenth-century brigand Orcino — the hunt made it into the newspapers, but the treasure was never found.
